Christoph Clodius

Gil Desautels

Gil’s leadership and skill has earned him a reputation as an expert in the field of fundraising. Drawing on his knowledge and experience, Gil arms clients with the tools and necessary ability to achieve long-term success in their development initiatives. Prior to joining KCI, Gil worked in Human Resources with Scotiabank, as Executive Director of the Fondation de l’UQAM and, as Executive Director for the Fond de développement de l’Université de Montréal, he directed a $218 million campaign that exceeded its goal by over $93 million.

Kathy Greenwood

With more than 20 years’ experience in the non-profit sector, Kathy Greenwood is an experienced development professional with a history of implementing highly successfully multi-million dollar capital campaigns for some of Canada’s most prestigious educational and health care institutions. As Senior Vice President, she is responsible for the management and growth of KCI’s activities in KCI’s Western division. Prior to re-joining KCI, Ms. Greenwood served as Vice President, Development for the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation, and the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business, where she served as Director of Development and Alumni Relations.

Ashwini James
Senior Consultant, Studies & Appraisals – Toronto, ON
As Senior Consultant, Studies and Appraisals, Ashwini James complements the KCI team with a proven record of achievement in study production, management, communications and research.Since joining KCI in January 2001, Ashwini has conducted feasibility studies for such notable clients as the National Arts Centre Foundation, the University of Waterloo, and the Canadian Museum of Human Rights. She is responsible for managing the timely completion of study interviews, data analysis and writing of study reports. She also plays a key role in client debriefing sessions and the development of recommendations. Ashwini also plays a key role in the management of other projects including environmental scans, benchmarking analyses, fundraising plans and fundraising audits.

Paul Koreen
Senior Vice President – Toronto, ON
Paul is responsible for oversight of KCI’s finance, information technology, corporate communications and human resources departments. His education in economics and management coupled with his background in fundraising, provide him with a strong foundation on which to lead these departments. Prior to his appointment as Senior Vice President, Paul served as lead KCI Consultant for the Salvation Army Ontario Central Division’s first-ever major gift capital campaign.
Passionate about investing in Canada’s non-profit sector, Paul is a member of the Community Impact Committee for United Way Toronto, and serves as the United Way’s representative on the Funders’ Committee for the Toronto Enterprise Fund. He is a past President of Regeneration House Inc., a supportive housing provider for adults with serious mental illness, and recently completed his term on the board of the Whiteoaks-Lorne Park Community Association.

Michael Logue

Since joining KCI in 1993, Mike has supervised over 60 major campaigns and has provided strategic counsel to more than 20 organizations. Some of his accomplishments helped to benefit such organizations as the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, YMCA of Greater Toronto, McMaster University, the National Ballet of Canada, Upper Canada College and the Roman Catholic Diocese of London. He has the most successful track record of achieving financial objectives in the history of KCI.

In addition to serving as the editor of KCI’s online publication, Philanthropic Trends Quarterly, Nicole plays a lead role in KCI’s specialty portfolio. She works closely with clients to develop highly customised strategic plans and integrated revenue generation strategies, both of which are essential to long-term organizational sustainability. Nicole also conducts capacity assessments and program reviews that assist organizations in enhancing their activities and achieving increased fundraising results.
An active volunteer, Nicole has donated her time to such organizations as the Winnipeg Art Gallery and Jazz FM 91.1. She is also a long time volunteer with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, serving as a talking books narrator for the past fourteen years.

Susan Reitz

Brigid Savage

Prior to joining KCI as Vice President – Quebec, Louis St-Cyr was Vice President of the Saint-Boniface Hospital Foundation, where he was responsible for the development team and philanthropic activities of the foundation.
As Director of the Advancement Office, for Université de Saint-Boniface Louis led the highly successful Campagne Vision – the University’s first capital campaign.
Louis St-Cyr holds a Bachelor of Arts, from l’Université de Saint-Boniface and a certificate in Fundraising Management from the University of Indiana.
Louis is an active and valued volunteer and has held positions on several boards of directors, including Vice President of the Canadian Council for the Advancement of Education from 2007 to 2011.

As Vice President for the BC Region, Rose is responsible for delivering and/or overseeing KCI’s services including monthly counsel, studies and assessments, workshops and training, and research and analytics for projects ranging from $1 million to $100 million. As Senior Vice President, Joanne leads KCI’s Specialty Portfolio, which encompasses research and analytics, communications, program reviews and strategic planning, including the development of integrated revenue generation strategies. She also oversees both our talent and leadership development and our sponsorship development activities. Beyond her management role, Joanne provides strategic counsel to a number of national projects and manages special assignments.
Giving back to her community is of great importance to Joanne. She currently serves as Secretary of the Ottawa Community Foundation’s Board of Directors and is on the organization’s Executive and Governance committees.

Celeste Bannon Waterman
Vice President, Research & Analytics – Toronto, ON
Celeste Bannon Waterman brings expertise in the full spectrum of research and analytics techniques to her role as Vice-President, Research and Analytics. She provides a variety of services ranging from the development of strategic plans for support services through to the translation of complex data, enabling clients to better focus their resources, understand their unique constituency base, and identify potential new donors. Since joining KCI, Celeste has worked with many organizations across Canada, including Women’s College Hospital Foundation, Bishop’s University, the University of Manitoba, Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation, Trillium Health Centre Foundation, the Canadian MedicAlert Foundation, the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Vancouver Aquarium, the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21, and the Toronto Zoo on data analytics and research-related projects. Prior to joining KCI, Celeste began her career as an information systems specialist, eventually bringing her expertise in data management to support advancement at the University of Guelph.
A committed volunteer, Celeste also serves on the Fundraising Committee for the Guelph Humane Society.

The hallmarks of a successful fundraiser are leadership, a carefully planned strategy and an innate understanding of one’s donors. Karen brings this mix of knowledge and skill to her role as Senior Vice President, providing strategic direction and project supervision to her clients. This high level of professionalism and expertise was evident in her supervision of the University of Waterloo’s $260 million capital campaign, which exceeded its goal by an astounding $353 million.
CHARITABLE INTERESTS: Karen is the past President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Greater Toronto Chapter, serves on the Board of Directors for Toronto Youth for Christ and is an Advisory Board member of the Sanfilippo Foundation.
