Dans ce bulletin, notre \u00e9quipe de recherche et de recrutement des cadres vous offre des conseils pratiques pour r\u00e9aliser des entrevues virtuelles. Avec une bonne planification et en suivant ces conseils et techniques, les entrevues virtuelles peuvent \u00eatre tout aussi efficaces que celles faites en personne, ce qui vous permet de maintenir l\u2019\u00e9lan de votre processus d\u2019embauche. <\/p>\n<p><strong>ASTUCES ET CONSEILS G\u00c9N\u00c9RAUX : <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Tester votre technologie \u2014<\/strong> Avant de proc\u00e9der avec votre entrevue, assurez-vous que votre plateforme d\u2019entrevue virtuelle fonctionne correctement. Testez votre microphone et votre p\u00e9riph\u00e9rique audio afin d\u2019assurer qu\u2019ils fonctionnent \u00e0 un niveau ad\u00e9quat. Utilisez des affiches ou autres indicateurs pour vous assurer que votre environnement ne soit pas perturnb\u00e9 pour la dur\u00e9e de l\u2019entrevue.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Habillez-vous convenablement \u2014<\/strong> Habillez-vous comme si l\u2019entrevue se faisait en personne.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Contact visuel \u2013<\/strong> Regarder directement la camera vous permettra de donner l\u2019apparence d\u2019un contact visuel avec les autres participants \u00e0 l\u2019entrevue. Et si c\u2019est possible, \u00e9vitez de porter des lunettes durant l\u2019entrevue; les reflets peuvent d\u00e9ranger le contact visuel et rendre plus difficile la connexion avec les autres participants.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Soyez patient \u2014<\/strong>\u00a0Tant pour les intervieweurs que les candidats, des diff\u00e9rences dans la puissance et la vitesse des r\u00e9seaux peuvent causer de l\u00e9gers retards entre l\u2019envoi et la r\u00e9ception du son et de l\u2019image. Laissez le temps \u00e0 la personne qui parle de terminer son intervention avant d\u2019essayer de r\u00e9pondre. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>CONSEILS POUR LES INTERVIEWEURS : <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>D\u00e9roulement de l\u2019entrevue \u2014<\/strong>\u00a0Surtout lorsqu\u2019il y a plus d\u2019un intervieweur, d\u00e9cidez du processus avant que le candidat se pr\u00e9sente \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cran. Assurez-vous que tous sachent qui accueillera le candidat, qui posera chacune des questions, etc.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Expliquer le d\u00e9roulement et passer en revue le mat\u00e9riel \u2014<\/strong> Assurez-vous que les candidats comprennent bien le d\u00e9roulement de l\u2019entrevue, et r\u00e9pondez \u00e0 toute question qu\u2019ils peuvent avoir au sujet des entrevues virtuelles. Pr\u00e9parez et pratiquez vos r\u00e9ponses aux questions potentielles, et d\u00e9terminez les questions que vous voulez poser aux intervieweurs. Soyez conscient de l\u2019heure \u00e0 laquelle l\u2019entrevue doit d\u00e9buter et \u00e9vitez de vous connecter \u00e0 la plateforme avant l\u2019heure pr\u00e9vue.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Soyez affable et conscient de votre langage corporel \u2014<\/strong> Comme dans le cas d\u2019une entrevue en personne, le contact visuel et un comportement affable sont essentiels au dialogue et d\u00e9montrent votre enthousiasme sinc\u00e8re pour le poste offert. Et quoi qu\u2019il soit important de rester naturel, des gestes excessifs ou nerveux peuvent s\u2019av\u00e9rer d\u00e9rangeants. Tout en \u00e9tant conscient de votre langage corporel durant l\u2019entrevue, restez vrai et authentique.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Organisez votre espace de travail \u2014<\/strong>\u00a0Assurez-vous que votre espace de travail soit organis\u00e9 pour vous permettre de lire et de prendre des notes facilement, tout en essayant de garder au minimum le d\u00e9placement de papiers sur votre bureau. means and what we as organizations and professionals should be doing in our response. To help organizations answer those questions, KCI has created a Bulletin Series to provide timely advice about how you should navigate this situation as it evolves while continuing to maintain momentum in your fundraising programs and activities.<\/p><h5><span style=\"color: #e56a00;\"><strong>TIPS FOR CONDUCTING VIRTUAL INTERVIEWS<\/strong><\/span><\/h5><p>Most organizations are continuing with their hiring processes, especially for leadership and revenue-generating roles. In this Bulletin, our Search + Talent team provides some practical guidance and advice for conducting virtual interviews. With good planning and by following these tips and techniques, virtual interviews can be almost as effective as those done in-person, thereby enabling you to maintain momentum in your hiring process.<\/p><p><strong>GENERAL TIPS & TRICKS:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li><strong>Test your technology \u2014<\/strong> Prior to your interview, ensure the virtual interview platform is working properly. Test both your microphone and audio device to ensure both are functioning at appropriate levels. Familiarize yourself with the software being used ahead of time.<\/li><li><strong>Have a backup plan \u2013<\/strong> In the event of a technology related issue, have a backup plan in place. A secondary video conference platform, or a conference call phone line make excellent contingencies. Ensure those conducting the interview have your preferred method of contact by which to reach you in the event of any changes or updates.<\/li><li><strong>Lighting \u2013<\/strong> Avoid positioning yourself where windows or other light sources are directly behind you. This can cause a bright backlighting effect, making it difficult for others to see you clearly.<\/li><li><strong>Minimize background noise \u2013<\/strong> Remove any potential sources of background noise. Ensure your workspace is in an enclosed room, close windows, and remove pets for the duration of the interview. Minimize paper shuffling to prevent distracting sounds picked up by your microphone.<\/li><li><strong>\u201cDo Not Disturb\u201d \u2014<\/strong> Ensure there are no distractions present in your environment. Set your phone to silent or do not disturb. Disable notifications and other pop ups to give speakers your full attention. Use signs or other physical indications that your environment should not be disturbed for the duration of the interview.<\/li><li><strong>Dress appropriately \u2014<\/strong> Dress as if your interview were taking place in person.<\/li><li><strong>Eye contact \u2013<\/strong> Looking into the lens of your camera will allow you to give the appearance of eye contact to others in the interview. And when possible, consider alternatives to wearing glasses during interviews. Reflections from lighting can disrupt eye contact, making it more difficult to \u201cconnect\u201d with others.<\/li><li><strong>Be patient \u2013<\/strong> For both interviewers and candidates, differing network strengths and speeds can cause slight delays between sending and receiving audio and video. Allow time for speakers to fully finish before attempting to respond.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>ADVICE FOR INTERVIEWERS:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li><strong>Interview flow \u2013<\/strong> Especially for interview panels with more than one interviewer, determine the process before the candidate arrives on screen. Ensure all are aware of who is welcoming the candidate, asking each question, etc.<\/li><li><strong>Explain the process and review materials \u2014<\/strong> Make sure the interview process is clear for candidates, and answer any questions they have regarding virtual interviews. Prior to the interview, ensure all interviewers are clear on the interview process, and have reviewed candidate resumes, the job description, and any other relevant materials.<\/li><li><strong>Give your full attention \u2014<\/strong> Despite interviews taking place remotely, it is important to ensure the interviewers present and maintain the expected standards and best practices. Candidates should be able to feel respected by the interview process and that their time is valued.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>ADVICE FOR CANDIDATES:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li><strong>Preparation and punctuality \u2014<\/strong> Be prepared for your interview ahead of time. Prepare and practice responses for potential interview questions, and create your own questions to ask the interviewer. Also be aware of the start time of your interview and avoid joining the virtual platform until your assigned time.<\/li><li><strong>Be personable and aware of body language \u2014<\/strong> As would be expected with in person interviews, eye contact and a friendly demeanor are key to engaging with the interview and expressing genuine enthusiasm for the position. And while it is important to remain natural, excessive hand gestures or fidgeting can be distracting. Be conscious of your body language during the interview while remaining genuine.<\/li><li><strong>Organize your workspace \u2013<\/strong> Ensure your workspace is organized in a manner where reading and taking notes can be done easily and with a minimum amount of paper shuffling. Have anything you will need for the interview (pen, paper, job description, water, etc.) on hand before the interview starts.<\/li><li><strong>Follow-up \u2014<\/strong> After your interview is
