KCI enters a new chapter of employee ownership!

Today, we are proud to share KCI’s own next chapter. KCI has transitioned to broad-based employee ownership through an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT), with ownership now held on behalf of all employees!
This makes KCI unique. We are Canada’s only philanthropy and talent consulting firm whose ownership is held on behalf of all employees through an EOT. And as one of the first companies in Canada to transition to the new EOT model, KCI is proud to be helping define what broad-based employee ownership can look like in this country.
For us, this model reflects a simple belief: the people who shape KCI’s work should also share in KCI’s future. Employee ownership has always been part of KCI’s story. This new structure extends that ownership to all employees, aligning how we are owned with how we work: collaboratively, accountably and with a shared commitment to long-term impact.
For more than 40 years, KCI has worked with thousands of organizations across the country to help craft strategies, build teams and raise billions of dollars in support of better communities and improved lives. Our work has always been grounded in integrity, excellence, innovation, openness, collaboration and respect.
This new chapter of shared ownership reinforces those values. It supports continuity, independence and shared purpose…and reflects the collaborative, values-driven way we have always served our clients and the sector.
For our clients and partners, this transition does not change what you have come to expect from KCI. The same team, the same values and the same commitment to excellence remain firmly in place.
What it does do is further deepen our long-term commitment to the Canadian charitable sector, and to the organizations and communities we are privileged to serve.
