On the date of the gift announcement, the shares would have been worth an estimated $500,000 or more.

To support upgrades to a Cardiac Operating Suite at SickKids Hospital. The total contribution to SickKids is the result of several fundraising efforts including the CP Women’s Open, all under the CP Has Heart program.

To support the renovation of Darke Hall, part of the University of Regina’s College Avenue Campus Renewal Project. Darke Hall is scheduled to reopen in 2021 as a 500-seat hub for performances in theatre, music, and dance. In addition, the Foundation will match future donations earmarked for Darke Hall up to an additional $500,000.

To support the construction of Canada’s Diversity Gardens. His contributions will be formally recognized in the part of the gardens known as “The Leaf” – an indoor facility with four distinct environmental zones, a restaurant, retail space, classrooms and banquet facilities – with the naming of the second-floor event hall and mezzanine. The couple has given two separate life insurance policies valued at a total of $500,000, split evenly between the QEH Foundation and the Community Foundation of P.E.I. After their death, both charities will establish a Scott and Laura-Lee Lewis Endowment where the
principal is invested and only the income is spent each year.

To provide funding for Chinese accounting students to study at Laurentian as visiting students
for four months, and to Canadian students who choose to study the Globalized Accounting Professional Program at the Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics in China. This is the first time that the TPEI Foundation has donated to a Canadian university. The Foundation is the representative of CPA Canada in China.

The Mike Weir Foundation will match up to $200,000 in donations towards the Chip-In Challenge for Mental Health, a fundraising campaign raising $400,000 for a proposed mental health facility for 11-to 25-year-olds. The proposed site in Sarnia would be run by Bluewater Health in partnership with the Canadian Mental Health Association Lambton-Kent, St. Clair Child & Youth Services and other community organizations. The Foundation was focused on working with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across the country for a number of years; it is now shifting its focus to local causes.
