The Abbotsford Disaster Relief Fund, a fund established by the Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce, the Abbotsford Community Foundation, and the University of the Fraser Valley, raised money in support of those impacted by flooding.

Donation supports the creation of a new Indigenous learning space and scholarships for Indigenous students.

This anonymous donation is toward the hematology program at London Health Sciences Centre. The donation will fund a mass spectrometer, a physician extender and pilot study, and a clinical research coordinator.

This anonymous donation is designated to the endoscopy unit at the hospital.

Donation is made to support those most affected by recent economic shifts and to address diversity and inclusion. $200,000 will go to Food Banks Canada, being distributed to its Food for All Initiative, the Northern Initiative, and the Markham Food Bank and Moisson Montreal. The remaining $235,000 will be spread across nine charitable organizations to fund work in diversity and inclusion, such as the YWCA’s Work Forward initiative, which will receive $50,000.

This three-year $2,600,000 investment will support the United Way’s work toward building an equitable society for the most underserved communities across Peel, Toronto, and York Region.

The late Miriam Bergen, owner and President of Appleton Holdings Ltd. left the gift to the Winnipeg Foundation in her will. The unrestricted gift includes shares of Appleton, and is believed to have a value of approximately $500 million.

BentallGreenOak announced the launch of a multi-year commitment with Kids Help Phone to increase awareness and public understanding of the critical mental health services available to youth in Canada.

This multi-million dollar gift is to Seneca’s School of Nursing to support financial aid, simulation technology and community engagement, and is the largest gift in Seneca’s history.
