Wayne and Lori Balshin matched all donations made to VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation’s Giving Tuesday campaign between November 26 and December 3, up to $100,000.

Five-year partnership to fight biodiversity loss and climate change. The gift supports various programs and initiatives, including the Living Planet @ School and Living Planet @ Campus; Indigenous-led efforts to restore forests and salmon spawning grounds in BC; Arctic conservation efforts; riverbank and floodplain restoration in the Wolastoq watershed in NB; seed orchards in Ontario; research on costal ecosystems and blue carbon; and further develop the Indigenous Protected and Conserved Areas Support Fund.

Sam and Uttra Bhargava matched donations made in December 2024, up to $500,000.
