Donation will support the Foundation’s Impact Fund, addressing highest priority equipment and infrastructure upgrades at the Hospital. The donors were recognized as “Steve and Brenda”.

Donation is in support of the Foundation’s Bring Tom to Town CT scanner campaign, which aims to purchase a new CT scanner for Grey Bruce Health Services at Saugeen Memorial Hospital.

Donation will support the University of Calgary’s Indigenous Strategy, ii’ taa’poh’to’p. Funds will be directed towards ii’ taa’poh’to’p goals, creating change in Calgary’s community and beyond, and other initiatives including widening pathways to education for Indigenous students entering university; strengthening connections between Elders and students; supporting and encouraging leaders in Indigenous engagement; preserving oral traditions, systems and processes; and developing physical acknowledgement and recognition on campus.

Donation is to a skilled trades scholarship program at Algonquin College and will support up to 125 first year students in 13 skilled trades programs over the next four years.

Donation is toward the construction of the new Trades and Technology Centre building at BCIT’s Burnaby campus.

Donation will support three socioeconomic development programs. $500,000 will go toward the continued activities of the previously named Desjardins Chair in Small Community Development; $250,000 will go to the Réseau des fermes, a specialized network for organic field crop farmers; and $250,000 will go to the Interdisciplinary clinic for teaching and research in healthcare and psychosocial services.

The gift was announced alongside an advertising campaign focused on the message that “Aging is beautiful”. The campaign was launched a week after Bell Media cut ties with journalist Lisa LaFlamme, raising accusations of ageism.

Donation is from the late Shelagh Grant and the Grant family in support of the Canadian Canoe Museum’s campaign for a new museum.

Donation is to Ottawa Hospital Foundation’s Campaign to Create Tomorrow, and to help find a cure for kidney disease.

Donation supports Ontario Tech University students through two endowments, as well the construction of Shawenjigewining Hall.

Donation is a part of Molson Coors’ Project Justice Initiative, and will go to organizations dedicated to equity, empowerment, justice and community building. Molson Coors is allocating over $500,000 in grants to relieve educational costs for students from underserved communities seeking to finish college degrees through North America.

Donation supports Hockey Alberta Foundation’s Every Kid Every Community Grant Program, the Hockey Alberta Member Grant Program, and the Hockey Alberta Volunteer Recognition/Thank You Program.

Donation to Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice’s Children’s Hospice Project for the construction of a new facility dedicated to palliative care for children in Southwestern Ontario.

Donation helped to launch a new program at the Hospital, Harvest For Kid’s Health, which purchases urgently needed equipment.

Donation is to McGill University’s School of Continuing Studies and support the Experimental Empowerment & Development (SEED) Initiative, a unique experiential training and professional development program to help members of underrepresented local communities and newcomers to Canada build skills needed to pursue career paths. The Initiative will cover the tuition costs of up to 40 learners per year starting in 2023.

Donation supports mental health care at Pathstone Mental Health in the Niagara community. Funds will help to reduce the waitlist at Pathstone, support staffing at the River House site, and support the Research & Education Institute.

Donation will support expanding prevention and intervention based-efforts as well as developing a pet shelter at Women’s Place domestic violence shelter, as the shelter cannot currently accommodate pets.

Donation supports the CIFAR program in Brain, Mind & Consciousness through funding for a series of neuroscience-focused Winter Schools, which will provide opportunity to train and connect the next generation of scientists.

The donation from Tourmaline will be given over five years, and hopes to raise awareness for STARS in other municipalities.

Donation will be given over 5 years from Fastfrate Group to Audrey’s Place Foundation who will use the funds to support Southlake Regional Health Centre’s HERE is Where Cancer Meets its Match campaign.

Donation will support Osler’s urgent capital needs.

Donation is to the University’s Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education in the Faculty of Education, and will launch a new sports science research institute. Approximately $24,400,000 of the funds will go toward the construction of the facility and purchasing equipment, while the remaining $4,600,000 will go to the development of the Institute’s sports science research program through the creation of research grants, scientific conferences, student fellowships, and international exchanges.

Donation is to the Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity, located in Melbourne, Australia, and will establish a centre to develop therapeutic drugs for future pandemic threats.

Donation will support technological advancements at the Hospital which will better connect patients to care.

Canadian Red Cross’ annual fundraising campaign with Walmart Canada raised a total of $4,200,000. $3,200,000 of the funds are from a combination of Walmart customer donations and associate initiatives, and an additional $1,000,000 was contributed by Walmart Canada. The funds will help the Canadian Red Cross respond to more frequent and complex emergencies, and help strength resiliency in communities.

Donation is in support of Indwell’s SoHo project to create 138 new affordable housing units in the War Memorial Children’s Hospital and the Health Services building at site of the former Victoria Hospital on South Street in London. The donation will fund three of the units. Additionally, TLC announced that it will be matching its employees’ donations until the end of 2022.

PetSmart Charities of Canada is granting more than $1,500,000 to various organizations across Canada to improve access veterinary care for Canadians and their pets, including $100,000 to the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA, $125,000 to the Guelph Humane Society, and $85,000 to the Nova Scotia SPCA.
