Paul Koreen

Partner / Chief Operating Officer

As COO, Paul is responsible for the leadership of KCI’s finance, communications, IT and human resources functions, as well as for collaborating on the strategic growth and development of the firm. His education in economics (BA Economics, Hamilton College, Magna Cum Laude) and management (MBA, U of T Rotman School of Management, Dean’s List; and Harvard Business School Executive Education) coupled with his background in fundraising, provide him with a strong foundation on which to lead KCI’s operations. Earlier with the firm, Paul served as KCI Consultant for a number of hospital foundation and community service clients, undertaking major capital campaigns. He continues to bring his expertise in financial modeling to KCI client assignments where a detailed understanding of the organization’s multi-year financial forecast is essential.

CHARITABLE INTERESTS:

Passionate about investing in Canada’s non-profit sector, Paul recently concluded his term as Chair of the National Advisory Board of The Salvation Army. He has served on Boards and Committees for a number of organizations, including volunteering for nearly 20 years with United Way Greater Toronto, most recently serving on the Community Impact Committee. He also represented United Way on the Funders’ Committee for the Toronto Enterprise Fund, a program that supported the start-up, sustainability, and scaling of employment social enterprises across the GTA. Paul is currently First Vice Chair for The Giving Institute, North America’s leading association of consultants to the charitable sector.
