Shannon Moon is an experienced non-profit executive specializing in fundraising and operational excellence.
Having generated millions of dollars for charities through data-based decision-making and strategic planning, Shannon has a deep understanding of program intersection and dependencies within fundraising. In her current role at KCI, she uses the power of research, benchmarking, and analytics to provide strategic recommendations to clients, enabling charities to raise more money and make the dream of better communities and improved lives a reality.
Before joining KCI, Shannon spent eight years at Michael Garron Hospital Foundation as Vice-President of Annual Programs, Events, and Operations where she orchestrated strategic initiatives and programs that generated up to $4 million annually. Earlier, she played key roles at the University of Toronto, Branksome Hall, The Royal Conservatory of Music and Pathways to Education Canada, where her strategic management contributed significantly to multi-year revenue growth.
As Vice-President of Research + Analytics at KCI, Shannon supports clients across the country in making strategic, data-informed decisions. Her work spans campaign planning, fundraising strategy, benchmarking, donor and alumni surveys, and prospect analytics. She has advised organizations including Baycrest Foundation, CAMH, Campfire Circle, Covenant House, Daily Bread Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity GTA, Scarborough Health Network, Simon Fraser University, Trillium Health Partners, United Way Calgary & Area.
Shannon is widely recognized for her operational acumen, strategic insight, and ability to translate research into action. She is a trusted advisor to mission-driven organizations seeking to deepen their impact through insight and strategy.
CHARITABLE INTERESTS:
Dedicated to giving back to her community, Shannon has volunteered her time with a number of organizations including The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Greater Toronto Chapter as a member of the Finance & Audit Committee, the Canadian Council for the Advancement of Education (CCAE) as a member of the planning committee for the Institute for Newcomers to Advancement, and as a founding committee member with the Collective: Women’s Empowerment Summit.
